HALLETT ELEMENTARY
An out of this world visit!
The students at Hallett Elementary had a visit from four NASA astronauts. The students had a chance to ask questions like, "What's your favorite planet?" "This one." Earth is still their favorite planet. "Is it fun in space?" "It's way fun, we play with out food in space."
The former principal, Cindy McSmith was presented a signed lithograph from the team from NASA. She thanked these "Real American Heroes" for taking the time to speak to her students. I'm sure the students of Hallett Elementary won't soon forget this experience.
The excitement of the visit spilled over to the high school's robotics club, the circuit breakers. The team from NASA took a little extra time to inspire the robotic's club. They had a chance for pictures and one on one questions.
Perhaps one of these Medical Lake students will look back on this day as the day they decided to follow the footsteps of a very special few and reach for new heights.

Hallett Elementary is located within Medical Lake serving military families and students who reside within the school district.
Title 1 school: Hallett’s Schoolwide Title 1 Program is a comprehensive reform strategy designed to upgrade the educational program in a Title 1 school. The primary goal of Hallett’s Schoolwide Program is to ensure all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate proficient and advance level in the state achievement standards.
One key component in any Schoolwide Title Program is to increase parental involvement in helping their children do well in school.
